چکیده
Abstract Shale gas reservoirs are contributing a major role in overall hydrocarbon production, especially the United States, and due to intense development of such reservoirs, it is must thing learn productive methods for modeling production performance evaluation. Consequently, one most adopted techniques these days sake analysis utilization artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning (ML). Hydrocarbon exploration continuous process that brings lot data from sub-surface as well surface facilities. Availability huge set keeps on increasing over time enhances computational capabilities accuracy through AI ML applications using data-driven approach. The approach can be utilized supervised unsupervised addition neural networks (ANN). Other approaches include random forest (RF), support vector (SVM), boosting technique, clustering methods, network-based architecture, etc. In this paper, systematic literature review presented focused shale evaluation their modeling.

Forecasting long-term gas production from shale.
Oil and natural gas from deep shale formations are transforming the United States economy and its energy outlook. Back in 2005, the US Energy Information Administration published projections of United States natural gas supply that stressed the need to develop an import infrastructure (1): by 2025, imports would account for almost one-third of United States consumption. When we compare those fo...
متن کاملProduction Optimization in Shale Gas Reservoirs
Natural gas from organic rich shales has become an important part of the supply of natural gas in the United States. Modern drilling and stimulation techniques have increased the potential and profitability of shale gas reserves that earlier were regarded as unprofitable resources of natural gas. The most prominent property of shale gas reservoirs is the low permeability. This is also the reaso...
متن کاملSPE 139118 Production Analysis and Well Performance Forecasting of Tight Gas and Shale Gas Wells
Estimation of reserves in tight gas and shale gas reservoirs is problematic due to the low to ultra-low permeability characteristics of these reservoir systems. The sole application of conventional decline curve analysis methodologies often yields erroneous reserve estimates. Therefore, the use of theoretically-based production analysis techniques has become a must to analyze well performance a...
متن کاملHow fracture interference impacts Woodford shale gas production
An integrated analysis of fracture interference revealed that hydraulic fracture system damage was, most likely, due to stimulation fluid flooding, into depleted fracture systems around parent wells, resulting in a reduction in the effective fracture area. The team proposed a number of options to mitigate the impact of fracture interference, including refracturing the existing producing well wi...
متن کاملShut-in based production optimization of shale-gas systems
This paper presents a novel operational scheme for enhanced utilization of late-life shale multi-well systems. These systems are characterized by a large number of geographically spread wells and pads, where a substantial number of the wells are producing at low erratic rates due to reservoir pressure depletion and well liquid loading. By applying a cyclic shut-in and production strategy, the s...
